Critical acclaim
“This isn’t just a film you’ll keep thinking about, it’s one you’ll live with —and that’s what makes it an astounding cinematic achievement.”

– Little White Lies
“No other film this year will get more people talking, or more people crying.”

“The movie doesn’t try to simplify the conflict or the ongoing destruction of the region. It simply boils everything down to a single case study in rage, sorrow and unfathomable tragedy, and asks: Why? Why did this have to happen?”
– Rolling Stone
“It’s a powerful representation of the humanity that is being lost during this time… It’s emotionally effective, incredibly moving and haunting…”
– Next Best Picture
“As the ovation surpassed 20 minutes, and in a clear effort to get the room to disperse, the lights were dimmed in the theatre. The clapping continued.”
– VARIETY
“The most vital film of the decade.”
– GQ Magazine
